Groceries and pharmacies
Publix at Sea Shell Collections (City of Gulf Breeze)
852 Gulf Breeze Pkwy, Gulf Breeze, FL 32561. Store (850) 932-0113. This store has a Publix Pharmacy, (850) 932-0030, and a Publix Liquor Store next door at 856 Gulf Breeze Pkwy. It’s the in-town option if you’re staying in the city.
Publix at Tiger Point Pavilion (Tiger Point area)
1430 Tiger Park Ln, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563. Store (850) 932-5194. This location also has a Publix Pharmacy, (850) 203-6469, plus a liquor store at 1434 Tiger Park Ln. It suits stays in the Tiger Point area.
A note on hours: Publix posts each store’s and pharmacy’s hours on the location pages linked below. Pharmacy hours are shorter than store hours, especially on weekends, so check before a late-day refill. If someone in your group takes a regular medication, ask your pharmacy to transfer the prescription to one of these two stores before you leave home.
Walk-in care for minor problems
MinuteClinic inside CVS, 225 Gulf Breeze Pkwy
225 Gulf Breeze Pkwy., Gulf Breeze, FL 32561. CVS says walk-ins are welcome, with no appointment needed, and you can also book a visit online. For the week of October 19, the clinic’s posted hours are 8:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Sunday. It closes for lunch from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. CVS says MinuteClinic covers everything from coughs and colds to ear infections and annual flu shots.
Ascension Sacred Heart Urgent Care – Tiger Point
4033 Gulf Breeze Pkwy, Ste D, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563. Phone (850) 746-1540. Ascension’s location finder lists hours of 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. You can walk in or check in online and choose an arrival time. Ascension lists treatment for problems like fevers, cuts that may need stitches, ear or eye infections, minor burns, sprains and strains, sinus infections and UTIs, and it can send prescriptions electronically to your pharmacy.
Emergencies: Gulf Breeze Hospital ER
Gulf Breeze Hospital (Baptist Health Care), 1110 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32561. Main number 448.227.8100. Emergency Room reception desk 448.227.8250. Baptist describes its ERs as staffed around the clock, seven days a week, in Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, Navarre and Jay. It says the Gulf Breeze emergency department is a designated Stroke Center with separate entrances for ambulance and walk-in patients and 24-hour security, and is “just minutes from Pensacola Beach, Navarre or downtown Pensacola.” The hospital has served the community since 1985.
For a life-threatening emergency, call 911. Don’t drive someone with chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding or trouble breathing. Let EMS come to you. Urgent care and MinuteClinic are for problems that need same-day attention but aren’t emergencies.
After Hurricane Isaias: check before you go
Visit Pensacola’s Isaias page says many businesses around the bay have reopened, while others may still be closed or running adjusted hours or limited services, so check with each business directly. The City of Gulf Breeze said in its October 12 recovery update that emergency roadway clearing was complete and crews had moved on to organized debris removal.
