Where you are: bay, bridge, and parkland
City Parks and Recreation states it has offered services since 1961 and that the city’s total land devoted to recreation is 517 acres. The department is based at 800 Shoreline Drive, Gulf Breeze, FL 32561. From Gulf Breeze you can reach downtown Pensacola north across the bay bridges or Pensacola Beach south over the island bridge—useful when you are pairing a park morning with a beach afternoon.
Shoreline Park: the city’s main recreation hub
According to Gulf Breeze Parks and Recreation, Shoreline Park is the major recreation area in Gulf Breeze. It covers about 155 acres and is divided into two distinct parks.
Shoreline Park North includes the Gulf Breeze Community Center, Dolphin Island Splash Pad, Sunset Kids Park, 10 multi-purpose lighted athletic fields (baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse), 10 lighted tennis courts, 4 pickleball courts, an 18-hole disc golf course, 4 sand volleyball courts, 2 outdoor basketball courts, a skatepark, a 1.2-mile paved exercise trail, and an indoor multi-sport practice facility.

Parking and boat launch (non-resident logistics)

Gulf Breeze Parks and Recreation describes Deadman’s Island as accessible only by boat and suited to kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, fishing, and calm-water beach time. Pair a Shoreline Park launch (with the published launch fee) with this preserve only if you have appropriate paddle craft and conditions—do not invent ferry service; the city page does not list one.
Naval Live Oaks (Gulf Islands National Seashore)
On U.S. 98 / Gulf Breeze Parkway, the National Park Service’s Naval Live Oaks Area is part of Gulf Islands National Seashore. NPS facts verified on the area page:

- Trails: over seven miles of hiking trails (NPS also notes 7.5 miles including the fully accessible 0.8-mile Brackenridge Nature Trail)
