For Gulf Breeze readers spending the weekend before Thanksgiving farther east, Grand Boulevard in Miramar Beach holds a free hometown-style holiday parade. Visit South Walton describes floats, marching bands and community organizations, followed by Santa’s arrival, a Christmas tree lighting, faux snow, complimentary photos with Santa, and horse-drawn carriage rides.
Miramar Beach is a long drive east of Gulf Breeze along U.S. 98. The merchants recommend arriving early for dinner and parking.
